{PW wannabe...}

Ok...most of you know who PW is and if you don't ....well....where have you been ; )  jk!


I know I have posted THIS recipe before BUT let's face it ; if your like me...you won't even look at a recipe if it doesn't have a picture.

So...in my attempt to get you to try this recipe, I have broke it down for you "PW" style  (hee!)

First of all... I love this dip SO much and make it all the time.
 I found it in bhg magazine a few years ago and tweaked the recipe just a bit.

Layered Greek dip.....

 

after you mix the cream cheese with Italian seasoning ...you layer the hummus dip on top

here's where added my own touch to it.
I add all the veggies and cheese in a bowl and toss them with
fresh lemon juice and
EVOO.
fyi: this makes a great salad topper too ; )

once you add the last layer of veggie mix...

you  can

dig in!

{Friday Feature}

Avery's room...

Her initial above her bed I made out of canvas and cardboard letter from hobby lobby that I spray painted

I have always loved the tissue pom poms and thought I would give 'em a try for A's room.




They are SUPPER easy and CHEAP to make.



I think they are the perfect thing to fill up that space in the corner....great for parties, great for Avery's room ; )

1. accordion rack-goodwill $3 used to hang all her purses, aprons, dress up clothes, ect..
2. bird canvas-free given to me by my mom (which i think found at GW too)
3. framed cork board- under $5..frame was free at yard sale and i bought the cork board at hobby lobby
4. butterfly decals-found at marshals for under $10

{Water Fun}

what's a summer without water.....

and speaking of water.... on fathers day we had a fun filled day that was ALL about WATER....

the kids and i surprised eddie with a canoe ride down the river....

after that we had a picnic lunch at one of our favorite parks.

it was a great day for a great dad!

Movie Night...

This is WAY over do but, better late than never ; )

We have really been slacking on the movie nights. Hopefully we can get back in full swing now that the kids are out for Summer.

Anyhow.... this movie night "treat" was inspired by THIS  who also inspired me to start family movie nights.

For our treat, instead of a cupcake I went the easy ( and fast) way out and dressed up a scoop of ice cream .... they LOVED it : )

OK...So on to the movie ....

First of all I was NOT crazy about this movie! Surprisingly, the kids liked it and somehow it held their attention the whole time ( if you have seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about).

So, there was our movie night.

Depth of field.....

I took these when Avery and I went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago.... before it got too HOT!

That time of year again....

Once again baseball has takin' over our life....

We are on our 4th year of this extremely time consuming sport.

Like I have said before...I have just learned to accept and embrace it.

BUT.... I don't know What I am going to do if this little girl wants to start playing!

A recipe to share....

If you love bacon and maple syrup....

then this recipe is going to love you!!

I came across this idea on a food blog and new I HAD to try it!

The picture pretty much says it all.

You just add cooked bacon to your favorite pancake mix.
It's super fast, easy, and DELICIOUS!

Try it....you'll LOVE IT!

( could be cheaper if you have a coupon or sale)

now it is this... cute trendy chalkboard jars

the will go in my pantry filled with easy to reach snacks for the kids

Belated Valentine's ....

Just a re-cap on our Valentine's week....

better late than never

Love seeing Avery using her new sewing machine

AND, speaking of sewing.... here I made a hooded towel for Avery.
I used white terry cloth and Cotton fabric that Avery picked out and used a
towel that she already had as my pattern.

I wish the hood was bigger,

but...

as you can see she likes it anyway.
