{Mexican Shells}

This is So yummy your going to love it!!  It's making me hungry just thinking about it! hee!

We love Mexican food and I am always trying to find new ways to make it.

As I was making the traditional past shells one day, it occurred to me...why not do Mexican shells?!

ding, ding, ding!! : D

So I tried it and now it is a family favorite!

Although..... it came as no surprise that it had been made before....of course

However, it hasn't been made with my ingredients. Ha!

Recipe follows:

pasta shells
1lb ground beef
pkg taco seasoning
1cup frozen pepper and onion blend/ or you could add small onion
1can Campbell's fiesta cheese
1can diced tomatoes/ I used fire roasted or you can use rotel
1can tomato sauce
1pkg of shredded cheese

mix cheese with taco meat, stuff with cooked shells, mix diced tomatoes and sauce, add a layer of sauce to bottom of pan (9x13), then add taco shells, top with cheese, bake @ 350 for 30min

top with your favorite toppings...
then get ready to fall in love... : D!!

{Tasty Tuesday}.... brownie surprise

This is a new favorite of mine!  I am so glad I came across this recipe.....I found it somewhere while browsing through flikr.

I make brownies all the time for my family (probably too much) so this was a great way to change it up!

I used my favorite "sou chef" to help me out with this one.

She did a great job unwrapping, stuffing, and even tasting

A good chef always tastes their food (wink) ha!ha!

This is pretty self explanatory.... you just put the recces cups in the middle of brownie mixture, pop them in the oven then....

enjoy!

{Friday Feature}

Okay...I'm going to have to make this quick because

 unfortunately, I feel like crap (to put it mildly..lol).

I mean... who gets sick in the summer!!

Apparently I do..... ugggh!

Okay, on to the feature:

Avery's fabric flower headband

I made this out of left over fabric scraps and just simply hot glued it down on the headband.

I think it turned out so cute and can't wait to make more!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

{Friday Feature}

Handkerchief fan and bleached out shirt....

for the fans I went and bought some handkerchief at hobby lobby for 99cents.

You just fold it like you would with a fan and tie together in the middle.

Then you take another and do the same.

Once I fanned them out I just stapled them together.

After that the middle needed a little something extra so I made a fabric flower

out of left over scraps.

And...Walla!

I'm going to hang these at different lengths all down my window.

*note to self...take picture of the process

*inspired by Martha Stewart

When I saw this HERE at this Lovely blog...I knew I had to do it!

Again...got the shirts at hobby  lobby on sale (less than $2 a piece)

Spray bottle (or water guns) dollar store $1

Broke out the bleach and rubber gloves .....
and this is what you get.....
Look at their faces : )

Even though they didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted to (probably b/c I didn't use freezer paper)

at least they had fun!
