{Spring Wedding Shower}

My sister had the most beautiful Spring Wedding Shower! She was one lucky girl! The decor, food, company, and gifts were all just perfect.

AND....even the location was not bad either.  I loved this home nestled in the woods right off the river....

ahhhh....I could defiantly see myself taking a nap on that hammock everyday : )   So beautiful!

I am so happy for my sister and thankful that she had this wonderful shower for her upcoming wedding.

{Butterfly Cupcakes}

 Spring is in the air and what better way to celebrate than with some.... butterfly cupcakes?!?

I have to say, I had so much fun making these and (as you can imagine) my kids did too! I got my inspiration  from these and just added my "own" touch to them.

    



Not only did I have fun making these for Spring But, I also got to use my cute new cupcake stand!

I had the privilege to take some engagement pictures for my sister a couple months ago and wanted to share with you.....

They will be getting married on the beach in May.....

I am so proud and happy for my little sister!!

Pilot....our goldendoodle puppy.

When I once said I would never have another dog....that went out the door when I saw how cute these dogs are. And...not only are they cute, they don't shed!!  Which is a big deal for me.

now if only we can get through this puppy stage ; )

{Valentine} day treat....

Have you seen these before???

They are huge marshmallows!!

When I first saw them I new they would be perfect for chocolate covered marshmallows!

I used the Wilton's Candy Melts and a package that had the sticks, bags, and ties all together.

You just stick, dip, then get your sprinkle on ; )  hee!

They're  fun to make and great for kids!

 I have to confess though: I like to make them but don't eat them....too sweet for me.

{Tasty Tuesday..... flat bread}

This is something I just kinda made up as I went....

fortunately it turned out to be a hit.

Not really sure what the difference is between flat bread and pizza ....I personally think it's just a fancier way of calling it.

Regardless.. pizza, flat bread, it's good!!  Trust me ; )

I used:

pizza dough ( I used whole wheat)

sun dried tomato pesto

pancetta cubes

shallots

fresh mozzarella

arugula

I rolled the pizza dough into a long thin rectangle shape and brushed with olive oil.

Then put straight on the oven rack for about 10 min

I then cooked my pancetta and sauteed my shallots.

when pizza dough is done, top with ingredients except for the arugula.

Cook until cheese is melted.

Toss arugula with olive oil , fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Top pizza.

Enjoy!

Tasty Tuesdays: Triple chocolate coffee cake

If your looking for a "semi-homemade" treat that is sure to impress....then look no further ; )

I got this recipe from an old Southern Living magazine and thought it would be the perfect thing to make for friends and neighbors for the Holidays!

If your like me, I  like a visual of what will go into my recipe. So here I have you the ingredients...give or take a few ; )You can get the full recipe here: Triple Chocolate Coffee Cake

The best part....the recipe makes two 9x9 pans!  One for someone special and one for you!!

For the packaging, I tied a dishtowel around the pan with a personalized tag ( you can find here: Sweet Treat Tags

Then adorned  with a fresh pine sprig .

I thought it turned out to be the "sweetest" gift and I think you will too. ; )
