....in review :

(I'll let most of the pictures speak for themselves)

decorating for Christmas is my favorite.... I'm always sad to start taking everything down

 I couldn't keep enough hot chocolate in the house....they wanted some everyday

 homemade yummy treats.....

 Avery had to inform me that the elves made and sent her her doll....love that sweet innocence

 every year I make a big breakfast for us on Christmas morning

  the best part .... we had a beautiful white Christmas....

{1st Snow Day...}

The snow is already here and even before Christmas!

I have been enjoying having my kids here with me to:

play in the snow

drinking hot chocolate

watching Christmas movies

and decorating sugar cookies (tonight)

It's days like this that make me realize how much I really do miss them when they are away at school.

I have you a very random and photo heavy rundown on what we have been up to......

In no particular order:

 going on Avery's first field trip to the pumpkin farm...

making apple turnovers....ummmm, just like grandma made them ; )

helping at A's Thanksgiving day feast at her school....

 sewing a lot.... fyi: I will probably be putting the items that did not sale at the craft fair on etsy if anyone is interested....lots of Christmas items

 trying to decorate my bedroom....now that we finally have our furniture that we waited almost a year for

giving this boy a birthday at a the movies...Megamind 3D 

 doing homework.....

spending time with my family and being thankful....

" big boy " Disney t-shirt....

In the effort to get my 8yr old son to wear a Disney shirt, I made one myself that he approved of.
All I had to do was use an old t-shirt, fabric picked out by D, and print/cut out pattern.

Once I cut the fabric from the pattern, I used a little heat n bond to adhere the fabric to the shirt.
Then I just did a straight stitch all around with the raw edges showing.

Now you got a one-of-a-kind Disney "big boy" t-shirt.

The possibilities are endless with this!

Staying positive ; )

In two days we went to two parks: Epcot and Magic Kingdom

The highlight of our trip was probably seeing the kids faces light up when they got to meet the characters.

Avery finally got to meet all her princes.  It was so sweet to see.

Dawson loved space mountain.... and Avery got to ride her 1st roller coaster...Thunder Mountain.
She was scared to death, but she did it and I was so proud of her.
So there it is....keeping it short and sweet ; )

Next I will share our trip to St. Augustine....you won't want to miss! Ha!

{Sights from Disney...}

The most magical  (and crowded)  place on earth....

I love Disney but, I'm not going to lie....

it is Exhausting!

When we went 3 years ago in September it was perfect!

However, this time in October....

let's just say, we won't be going back again for a while.

I honestly don't know how people spend a whole week here.

Don't get me wrong I'm not "dogging" Disney.

Like I said...I love it.

It's just frustrating to think how much people spend

only to wait hours in line.

Then run out of time or energy to do the rest.

Alright, enough of that.  I'm sure you get the point of how it was when we were there.

Regardless of how we felt... the most important part was that the kids had fun.

Which they did!

I will be posting just how much soon! ; )

It hasn't really sunk in yet that we will be going back to Disney

AND in only ((2)) days...

I will be excited about it after the loooooong ride there.

The last time we went Dawson was 5 and Avery was only 2.

Now Avery's 5 and Dawson is 8.

We wil have 2 days to spend at the parks.

We went to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom before.

So this time we are probably going to Epcot

and although we did Magic Kingdom already

I think you can't go to Disney and not go to

Magic Kingdom.

If you have a personal favorite park...

I would love to hear.

After Disney we will be going to St. Augustine for the week.

Eddie and I went there in August for the first time.

{Farewell Summer}

Where to begin....

let's start with....how do I have (( both )) kids in school?!!? I am still trying to figure that out???

I mean.... it seems just like yesterday I was giving birth to these two!!

Now I am sending one to ((3rd)) grade and the other to ((kindergarten))!!

I'm not going to say it has been easy to see my baby girl start school.

However, it could have been harder had she not liked it!

Here she is all dressed up, ready and excited to go!

Of course we have to show up to school in fashion....with monogrammed "girly" backpack and lunch box : )

and here they are going to school "together" for the first time.

Awwe...so many emotions, thoughts, worries, anxiousness, all running through my head.

I just have to remember....

they are in Gods hands....and the rest will be okay...
